A transfer decision should never start with one headline figure. Separate the amount already paid, the seller’s negotiated recovery amount, the remaining developer schedule, and every additional obligation.
Start with the source documents
Read the contract, installment schedule, and receipts together. The original contract value is not the amount the seller necessarily receives, while the developer balance remains a separate obligation for the replacement buyer after transfer.
Build a clear financial picture
- Total paid to the developer.
- The negotiated amount requested by the seller.
- Remaining installments and annual bulk payments.
- Transfer, maintenance, or club fees where applicable.
Published figures should be reviewable, but final developer approval remains case-specific.
